The Jasmin of Judea

I am Yahweh, the God of the Jews,
and on my balcony,
I sing and play my harp
for the girls bathing in the fountain of my courtyard
because their naked bodies please my eye!


And that is why I blessed them
and bade them enter
my temple
where young sacred prostitutes
lavish pleasure on the men who
seek and desire it,
pleasure it is seemly to give to the faithful!


For, contrary to what the Jews
believe,
the Jews who made me an evil God
and an enemy of love,
not only am I not
detached from Nature,
I am Nature
and, so, those believers
who declare themselves pantheists
are welcome in my church!


No, for me there is no
separate masculine principle,
bright and rational
and no separate dark, irrational
feminine principle!


For the world was created
by the marriage of two principles
which are both at the same time
dark and light
and men and women
were given a share of
both shadows
and sunlight
which are needed equally
to keep the cosmic balance!


Yes, my marriage partner is
the Goddess of the voodoo cult
Erzulie Freda Dahomey,
because she loves jewels,
flowers, perfume
and men
and manifests herself to believers
like a Lakshmi emerging from the waves
a beautiful
Hindu Goddess
adorned with precious stones
or like Radha,
Krishna's consort!


And I am a bodhisattva
whose dakini
or muse
has made of her energy
a voluptuous jasmine
from the jasmines
that Goddesses love to inhale
before giving themselves to mortal men!
